Founded
in 1990, Corgenix Medical Corporation is based in Colorado, with an
international marketing office in the United Kingdom. The Colorado
facility is engaged in research, development, manufacture, and
marketing of in vitro diagnostic products for use in disease detection and prevention. Corgenix is
committed to providing innovative and quality medical products to meet
the needs of the ever-changing healthcare field.
Most
of the company’s products are based on a patented and proprietary
application of Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) technology, a
common clinical testing methodology used worldwide. The company
pioneered the field of antiphospholipid antibody detection with the
development of the first FDA-cleared assay for measuring
anticardiolipin antibodies, and through continued research and
development, is recognized worldwide as an innovator and opinion leader
in this arena. The association of antiphospholipid antibodies with
thrombosis inspired the company to develop additional assays for the
evaluation of certain bleeding and clotting disorders.
